A Leaky Pipe causing Water Damage to The Ceiling.

SERVPRO of Longview/Kelso was called out when a residential customer in Longview, WA called about a pipe leak from their kitchen ceiling.

The pipe had a steady leak, causing visible discoloration and cracking. The homeowner was unsure how long it had been leaking but, the dry wall became weak and began to crack where the water had been pooling. The leak occurred near the light fixtures, prompting our technicians to turn the power off in that area. The ceiling had to be removed due to the extensive damage and to properly dry out the structure of the home. Our highly trained water technicians used moister detectors ensuring all the affected materials were removed, and to monitor the progress for drying purposes. The homeowner was expecting the damage and remediation process to be much more complicated and was happy that our technicians had the training and experience to guide them through the cleanup and restoration of their home.
